The Show Must Go On!

Last night we had our ward Christmas party. It had been delayed a few days because of the massive amount of snow we received. All of the primary kids did a Christmas play and Jacob had a solo in the big finale. He sang "Away in a Manger" while he sat on his walker at the very edge of the stage. After he finished the 1st verse the rest of the case joined in and they sang some other songs.

Well, Jacob got a little over excited and started clapping which moved his walker forward just enough that he went flying off the front of the stage. I rushed to grab him and quickly checked for any signs of injury. I sat him back on back on the stage and he looked like he was about to cry. But I knew he wanted to stay to the end because he LOVES it when people clap for him. As his lip began to quiver I asked him, "Jacob do you want to stay?" He just began to sing right along with all of the kids. Once everyone in the audience saw him begin to sing they were very relieved.

At the end everyone applauded and Jacob was thrilled. On the way home he yelled, "I sang and they clapped!" You can see a bit in the video below. Don't worry. Jacob is all right.
